It is actually a Striped Bass, which is a very tasty, nutritious and versatile fish that is loads of fun to catch. The 2010 "Trophy Striper" season (Maryland Rockfish) will start April 17 and runs through mid May. During this time charter boat fishermen are allowed one "Trophy Striper" (Maryland Rockfish) per person of twenty eight inches or bigger. After the "Trophy Striper" season (Maryland Rockfish) ends the Summer "Trophy Striper" season (Maryland Rockfish) begins. This runs from mid May to December. During the Summer "Trophy Striper" season (Maryland Rockfish) charter boat fishermen are allowed two Striped Bass (Maryland Rockfish) per person and each fish must be over eighteen inches in length.
