About Proud Mary & Her Friends

Capt. Eddie(left) & Capt. Mike(right) The Proud Mary Chesapeake Bay built charter fishing boat is a 38 foot diesel powered rockfish hunter. She has a fiberglass coated skin, state of the art electronics, a heated cabin for cold mornings, a head (toilet), ice chest for all of the rockfish and is furnished with all of the required US Coast Guard safety equipment.

If you live anywhere near the Chesapeake Bay you’ve probably already discovered the great sport fishing opportunities in this area. If not, then Captain Mike and Captain Eddie would like to invite you and five of your friends to enjoy a day of Chesapeake Bay charter fishing aboard the Proud Mary. From early Spring to late Fall, there is a bounty of fish to be caught while Chesapeake Bay charter fishing. Wether you are in search of Chesapeake Bay stripped bass, also known as rockfish, or croaker, spot, sea trout, bluefish, flounder or drum, these captains will surely find the honey hole for you.

On one particular gray day, Capt. Mike's group had caught their limit within the first hour of their charter. Rather then heading in, he continued trolling on a catch and release basis. Within the next hour they had caught and released a half a dozen trophy sized rockfish. Here is a photo of one of those Chesapeake Bay trophy rockfish.
